Victim CARE Service Establishes New Base At King Street

A social business and charity aiming to support victims of crime in the local area has taken office space at Foxhall Business Centres' city centre premises.

Catch22 has been commissioned by the Nottinghamshire Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) to deliver services through an initiative called Victim CARE to all victims of crime and anti-social behaviour across Nottinghamshire.

Foxhall's Two King Street building will now be home to 17 of Catch22's experienced professional case workers who provide one-to-one support to victims of crime, regardless of whether or not it has been reported to the police.

Kerry Hemingway Assistant Director, Justice Directorate of Catch22, explained: "Victims of both recorded and self-reported crime are tracked at all points in their journey and given access to information, practical support and where appropriate, referral to 'cope, recover and empowerment' support services in their local communities.

"We're delighted to have moved into our new offices at Two King Street which will provide us with a great base in the heart of Nottingham's city centre, helping us to continue to provide our services to all that need it across the local area."

Victim CARE also offers a restorative justice provision as part of its core service, delivered by partner organisation Restorative Solutions. Bringing both victims and offenders into communication, enabling everyone affected by a particular incident to play a part in repairing the harm and finding a positive way forward.

Catch22 delivers services across the country. In Nottingham, Catch22 already delivers a Department for Education funded Study Programme, based in Poplar Street. It also delivers the National Citizens Service, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for young people aged 15-17 to take on new challenges and meet new friends.

Laura Morley, Centre Manager at Two King Street commented: "We're very pleased to welcome a business that aims to do so much positive work to those that have been unfortunate enough to suffer from crime in Nottingham.

"Catch22 adds to an ever-evolving and diverse list of tenants to take office space with us at our buildings across Nottingham. As with many other businesses who have taken space with us, we hope to provide them with the support they need in order to flourish and successfully deliver their important services throughout the local area."
